My First Time Trying Territory Foods

(Just want to start out saying this post today is sponsored by Territory Foods!)

I used to be against meal kit and meal delivery items.. why? I love a good home cooked meal and I like to know who is handling my food. (#germaphobe) When I first moved to Texas I had the meal prepping thing down to a T, and had no desire to really look into any kits. I actually liked meal prepping, my best friend and I would dedicate Sunday’s (or whenever we were free) to make multiple meals together. We would go grocery shopping together and split the bill, it was super easy and convenient! I secretly love to grocery shopping.. especially if that means a Target run!

It wasn’t until the past few months where I fell off the meal prepping wagon and started fueling my body with crap. It got to the point where I would come home entirely way to tired to even think about meal prepping, so I ate whatever I could make quickly. Half the time it was really just carbs and sugar. I knew I had to do something to help regulate what I was putting into my body. So, I caved! Meal prep mania here I come.

What did I try? Territory Foods! What appealed to me was that the meals were prepped locally with no assembly required. Meaning, I just pop them in the oven or microwave! One of the selling points for me was I get a chance to try something different each meal. I get bored pretty easily, and that was a big thing to think about when I started getting prepped meals. TF’s has independent chefs that are always creating the recipes and bringing their unique culinary skills to each meal. #Bless!

Now, you’re probably thinking.. what meal plans are available? Territory Foods can offer you Paleo, Keto, Whole30, Vegan and Low-Carb meals that fit into your lifestyle. The meals are always free of refined sugar, made with sustainably sourced, no gluten containing ingredients, which are non-dairy, REAL certified, and most importantly freshly made. AKA.. it’s really freaking good for you. I am super sensitive to certain chemicals food companies use to keep their food “fresh” so when I tell you I had to research, I had to research! I didn’t want to be sick the rest of the day after eating something.

Something else that I really enjoy about Territory Foods is their delivery/pick up service and their prices. When you first start looking into your meal plan they give you two options; Boost and Standard. I picked boost which goes for $10.00 a meal vs standard goes for $13.00 a meal. You then can pick how many meals and when you want them. For example; I picked 2 meals a day for 3 days. If you picked the Boost option, it will be $120 for 6 meals. Whoa, $120? Surprisingly, that’s not bad. If you think about how much money you spend on groceries PLUS going out to eat.. you’re spending significantly much more than $120.

Once you picked your plan it’s time to pick your food! (My favorite part) I am not a breakfast person, so if you are like me you can opt out of picking breakfast meals. They also give you the option to pick a specific diet (like keto, whole30, vegan, etc) I don’t have a specific diet, I am totally open to trying new things so I have no preference! However, I can't eat eggs, I am not a fan of spicy foods and I don’t like fish if I don’t cook it myself (weird, I know) so I can easily request that none of those are in my meals! Once you edit your likes and dislikes, they generate your menu. If you see something you’re not a fan of, you can easily delete meals and add them if you see something better.

After seeing all the yummy goodies you’re about to receive, it’s time to pick how you want your food to get to you! They have two options they offer; home delivery (which is $7.95) or free pick up at a local gym. It is also a twice a week delivery/pick base plan. I opted to do the free pick up! I typed in my zip code and it automatically generated where I could pick up. I picked Body Machine Fitness in Plano since it was the closest to me and I am normally down that way anyways! I walk right in and they have a fridge dedicated to the meals, so you don’t have to talk to anyone, you pick up and go! After everything is all said and done, I can honestly say this is probably the most convenient service I have tried!
